Today I get to chat with Lisa Whittle, who feels like a soul-sister because we’re both a little crazy and a little cynical, but also both just trying to be authentic in our relationships with God as we walk through hard things.

In addition to being a friend, Lisa is someone I look up to as a mentor in the world of publishing, and I really just love her writing. Her latest book is called The Hard Good, about the uncomfortable process that leads us to growth, where she pulls out the big truths that she’s uncovered in her own journey.

We talk about getting caught in a thought tornado of “what-ifs” (and have a mini counseling sesh about my own journey), the difference between preference and acceptance, and why we feel so entitled to God’s blessings. Lisa also shared her fav product, the Dwell app, which reads the Bible to you in a million different ways. You can get 20% off by checking it out here: lisawhittle.com/dwell
