On today’s episode, I get to talk about the Enneagram (if you’ve been here a while, you know I somehow always find a way to sneak it into any topic!) with my new friend and expert AJ Sherill. AJ wrote a book called “The Enneagram & Spiritual Formation,” and has a new book releasing in October called “Being with God: The Absurdity, Necessity and Neurology of Contemplative Prayer.”
AJ has served as a Lead Pastor for two decades in churches across the country, and now calls Charleston, South Carolina his home. He received a doctorate in the area of spiritual formation, and teaches courses on preaching and the Enneagram at Fuller Theological Seminary.
We talk about the humiliation (it’s a good thing, I promise) of what the Enneagram can reveal about you, our identities rooted in belovedness, and the beauty of just being in God’s presence where words are welcome but not necessary.
